HR Green Welcomes Eric Smith as Municipal Engineering Director for the Municipal Services Business Unit

HR Green is pleased to announce that Eric Smith, PE, has joined the firm’s Colorado Springs office as the Municipal Engineering Director for the Municipal Services Business Unit.

Eric has over 32 years of experience in the consulting engineering business. From a technical standpoint, he has expertise in transportation and traffic engineering, infrastructure planning and design, financial consulting, and construction management. He has successfully managed and coordinated numerous municipal and private sector projects, including transportation, drainage, utility, capital improvements, and site development. His skills encompass project management, design, and detailed master planning and analysis. Eric has been a leader and corporate officer in several engineering firms throughout his career and has a deep knowledge in A/E business practices.

In this role, Eric will work with Group Leaders from Colorado, California, and North Texas to expand HR Green’s municipal engineering services throughout the West. Eric will be focused on providing leadership, oversight, program management, and marketing for the group. With respect to marketing, he will be concentrating on the Colorado market and support efforts in California and North Texas. Eric will also be assisting Colorado’s Land Development and Water Resources business units with business development.

Eric earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida. He is a board member of the Western Museum of Mining and Industry.
