Midtown and Montrose, one of the earliest sections of Houston to be developed, currently lacks a storm sewer system that is sufficient enough for the densely populated area. Because of this undersized and outdated storm sewer system, the area regularly floods during normal rainfall events. HR Green was authorized to begin work on the final Gillette Street outfall design plans, specifications and cost estimates for the third phase of the Gillette Street outfall in order to provide drainage relief for the 1,070-acre fully developed area.
