Tim Hartnett

Tim Hartnett is the Business Line President for HR Green’s Governmental Services Business Line.

As Business Line President, Tim is responsible for leading public works engineering, community development planning/development services, building and code enforcement, and fiber/ broadband and smart city applications for local government.

Throughout Tim’s career, he has provided ongoing municipal engineering/planning services to key municipalities, guiding them through periods of extreme growth. Tim has considerable experience with grants and funding procurement for roadway, water and sewer infrastructure, parks and facility improvements, construction observation, general engineering advisory services, water and wastewater master planning, capital improvement planning and implementation, road programs, staff augmentation and support.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Design from Northern Illinois University.  He is active in the ICMA, ILCMA, Illinois Municipal League, American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Public Works Association, and various Councils of Governments.
